Such Entrepreneurship programs have great motivating values and contributiuons. However, the current affinity towards IT needs to be also resisted for core engineers. Joining a discipline which has had no academic pre-qualification is probably putting the future of engineering students at risk. On the other hand, the country is short of genuine "workshop" grade or plant level engineers as experts. Even today, Shyamal Bhushan Ghosh Dastidar is a member of Railway Board sterring the policy of the National carrier. We need to reverse the trend by motivating a few good and serious students into "core" engineering jobs every year. |

This kind of workshop/seminars are the 'need of the day' for BESU and other graduating students, especially those from the ethnic bengalee community. Hope it has positive impact and continues in the future. Organizers deserve recognition for their vision. |
